Who doesn’t love coming home with a few new pressies for their dog when we head to the shops? Whether it’s out of guilt for leaving them home for too long, an attempt to prevent boredom or just to show them how much we love them, we all love the watching the excitement a new toy or bed brings.
The problem is this doggy shopping addiction can rapidly become expensive! The solution? Kmart! In the last few years Kmart has really stepped up both their homewares and pet departments and they are now a great destination for great pet products at even better prices. Now, in case you were wondering this is absolutely not a sponsored post, we have tried and tested many of the products here at the Daily Pup and they live up to the hype!
Here are a list of our favourite Kmart pet products that both you and your dog will love!
Portable Pet Steps – $20
Super handy if you have an older dog who struggles to get onto the bed, or into the car. These dog steps are foldable, lightweight and hold up to 35kg.
Cylinder Fetch Toy – $5
This is a dupe of the Leaps & Bounds Crackle Stick Dog Toy $16. A great toy for the beach as it is easy to throw, very visible and it floats. Not great for really tough chewers as the middle is made of a soft canvas-type material that can be torn to expose the fluffy center.
Chew Resistant Pet Bed – $29
This has been a big hit with many owners of dogs who love to explode their beds! It is a good size for large dogs, and has a polyester outer to help resist tears. It is definitely not chew-proof judging by some of the photos we have seen online from some of the more dedicated destroyers, but it would be suitable for all bar the most chronic bed-killers. This would also be a great outdoor bed or for older dogs or puppies who may still be prone to accidents.
Back Seat Car Hammock – $12
This is an absolute bargain! Nothing fancy, just an easy-to-use car seat protector that will keep all the hair and muddy paw prints out of your car! Velcro tabs keep it in place, and it’s waterproof and lightweight so you can fold it up and store it in the car when it’s not in use.
Thermal Pet Mat – $9
Winter is coming! In the southern hemisphere anyway…This snuggly dog mat uses a unique internal thermal reflective fabric to provide warmth to your pet by reflecting their own body heat. It is machine washable and is perfect to use on top of their normal bed during winter or if your dog is unwell. Safer than a heating pad or hot water bottle, this is a must-have during the colder months.
